All UVB lights need replacing every “6” Months we rescue & rehome u can ask any Breeder or Vet. It’s “6”mnths religiously. It will still turn on but will emit little to zero UVB. Please replace it ASAP. Pleae the Beardie is lethargic, will get weak bones, tremors and shakes and eventually MBD & death. We see it all the time beacise of incorrect info from a pet store or poor husbandry.Sorry but did you actually read everything I wrote. I said she has now moved into a 4ftx2ftx2ft vivarium. She was previously in a 40 gallon breeder.
It is a brand new set up. Everything is brand new. Also the arcadia t5 pro uvb cab be replaced every 12 months unlike other uvb lights. She can also choose where on the log to lie to bask so if she wants to be slightly cooler she can be.

you sure a small tank stunts there groth. i Agree they need a 120 gallon but I would say they need it at 12 months. sadly I have seen dragons in 40s there hole life and not be stuntedHi; a few things are going on here. First of all is the cage big enuff for her? She needs a 40 gallon till she’s 7mnths then needs a 120 gallon tank otherwise they will be stressed & it stunts their growth. Next, do u have any colored or coiled bulbs? If so, please remove them ASAP it burns their eyes. U need a clear zoomed bulb for Heat & a Reptisun 10.0 T5 for UVB. Do u have the long tubular bulb for UVB? And have u replaced it religiously every 6Mnths? She needs the Reptisun 10.0 T5 otherwise she will have little to no energy, brittle bones seizures jerks and tremors. The length u order should cover70 percent of the tank and placed starting at he hot/basking side. And she needs a a hideaway to get away from this Uvb if needed. A big cave or I use a hammock behind the basking spot amd place a soft terry cloth over it & under in place a soft fleece blanket so that it can be a getaway cave. SHe needs a hideaway very very Impt. Also, How’s the temp? For a 9mnth okd or older it shoidl be 95-100 never higher. Under 9mnths 100-105. Please use a digital thermometer & digital hygrometer they are $10 from Petsmart. They are the most accurate. Lastly she could be Gravid; if she’s scratching means she’s gonna lay eggs like having a period for women. U need to make a lay box made of children’s play sand & organic soil that has Little to no fertilizer & mix the two with water till it’s like sand castle sand & she can dig a hole like a gopher and lay her eggs it can take days. Buy a white tub from depot or Lowe’s make this mixture amd place her in there maybe cover the top 1/2 with cardboard so it’s semi dark amd comfy. After she lays leave her till she’s buried amd covered the eggs then remove her and give her a bath asap & lots and lots of protein; crickets amd Dubia roaches & (super/hornworms if she’s over a year old) and extra calcium powder everyday for 2weeks & lots of water alongside a huge plate of greens/veggies because laying eggs depletes them of all the calcium & nutrients & energy in their body she will be starving amd need lots of calcium. Read up on a Gravid Beardie.
Try turning her temps down and see if she settles. My dragon is very restless if the sun is out and her temps where they should be. If I turn them down he settles down.Usually she's pretty chill but the past few days she has been really restless. She will bask for a bit but then proceeds to either scratch at the glass or at the walls of her vivarium.
If I get her out she just won't keep still. I'm hoping it's just the time of year and that she might be feeling hormonal or something
Let her have a good run around, they love it and great exercise for her. Once she cools down she will slow down. They are funny little creaturesShes constantly on the move. If I sit her on my bed she tries to get onto the floor.
I had the same issue with Dio the last 3 weeks but only before he pooped. I changed his diet up a bit and he is not doing it anymore. Might not be the same issue but thought I would throw it out there. It could be spring fever --- but lets go over the lighting in the tank -- we need to rule that out first as it will cause the behavior your describing
UVB brand and bulb please? Where in the tank is it? Basking temps what are they and how are you taking them? NO stick ons please and NO coils for UVB
