    I am confused my beardie is 8 months old now. I am unsure what temp under the basking light should be. some say say 40c others say 38 c. as a baby I kept him around 41c. what is the correct basing temp for him now he is now 8 months old thank you in advance for your help spikey now pic GEDC0446.JPG

    I replied to your other post --- the substrate ? what is he on? Recommended NO LOOSE substrate -- too much risk for impaction ----------------- I would get that out and replace w/ some NON adhesive shelf liner from your local home improvement store or some slated ceramic tile - they are cheap and easy to clean vinegar/ water 50/50 in a spray bottle -- what are you using for a UVB?

    Great bulb and it's in a fixture w/ a reflector and approx 12-15 inches from basking???? If so that is good-- how big or long is tank???? The basking spot is good temp

    he is corn cob what he was on at the breeders when I got him as a baby

    Ok so the UVB is not full length of tank--- that is good --- the substrate not so much- I would look at changing it out- loose substrate harbors bacteria
