Yeah, Augie; That is what I decided to do she doe's know what she wants. So I give her-her salad and put the bugs in as well and hopefully she will develop a taste for the bugs. But she sure loves her wax worm.I think it's awful this baby has only been fed 1-a day since hatch date it is a shame so she really don't know how to eat.She had a nice bath and she's doing a little hunting right now. How's your baby coming along? river-7

Hi; All, Sorry I have not been on but I have company from out of country. 'Simba' under went a name change to 'Thumbelina' thought it was very fitting as she is still very tiny. She has a bit of shed coming off-of her head but still has not had a full body shed..Now today she slept all day and didn't eat. But has moved off of her basking area to the log beside her on the floor and right back to sleep. If I didn't know I would swear she is in brumation. But I think that is impossible at her age[approx.;] 3-weeks old.but I am seriously wondering if the weather may be affecting her.As she is back to eating very little-Now today ate nothing just drank some water in her bath.Being so tiny it is really hard to figure out why she don't eat as much as other dragons. But common sense will tell me her tummy is not that big.boy this little baby will deffinatly keep me going gray lol.Well I hope next update will bring her eating well and getting a little bigger. The breeder I bought her off-of said she basically was the runt of the clutch and last to hatch. So maybe that has lot to do with her eating.Like yesterday she ate salad , phoenix worms, and about 3-1/4 inch cix. and today nothing. So I think she was stuffed from yesterday.Any comments appreciated-thanks to all who respond-river-7

Beatrix is doing similar at nearly 7 months. I think its cause I'm not feeding her what she wants to eat. I put a hornworm in the tank and she doesn't hesitate to nom on it, a calci dusted hornworm she will look at for a second before devouring, and crickets she will stare at most the day before she will try to catch them.

Thank you all soo much for your kind words-she passed in my hands and knew she was loved.I put her in a little box and took her back to the breeder and he replaced her[not that I wanted a replacement at all] and the baby I have now is a red leather back and approx.; 5-6-weeks old. she eats me out of house and home and she has been with me 3-days-eats from my fingers, and boy doe's she pack away the food. I will need 2-jobs just to feed her. yesterday she actually came to my hands and crawled in and ate some salad by hand and about 25-crix; all day , phoinex worms, a few, and of course her loving salad.] comical baby plays all day and very, very, active and just loves being in my hands=being new I try to let her settle in without bothering her just husbandry-BUT everytime I go in to feed or clean right back in my hand. Even at the breeders I was holding her and tried to put her in carring case to come home and no way did she want to go in. Weird little baby. Seems like she loves to be loved-well she will get lots here. I have not named her but will think of something soon. Nothing like a new baby that needs some love to help you with a loss of a very beautiful little one that passed.I went dragon shopping and picked up all new stuff for her as I felt that would be better. and I disinfected her tank. And she just loves everything that's there[very bare for awhile] just a bridge to bask on a worm dish, and a little wooden hut for now. Will be going to get her a large tank at end of month. Probably a 65-gal; to give her lots of room.I am having a hard time to find one as I want a large width.Well very happy, happy to see this baby eat good makes my heart feel good. bought a 100-crix; Thurs; and going for more today just to make sure she has enough. And this baby was only fed 1-a day but she is being fed 3-times for the day by me and sure loves it. Knows her cricket holder already and gets very excited when she see's it in my hands. It was very funny when I first gave her- her second feeding the first day home she kind of cocked her little head and if she could talk[boy I am not leaving here more food]lol. So glad she's a very happy baby. Well peeps I have went on and on just wanted to share with you all-river-7-will update and try to get pic's up.

Sorry-peeps but I went and got mustards greens yesterday and for most here in Canada-we can only get them at certain times.Mostly summer time and only at certain places. And I hate getting something a baby likes then none. But happy to let all you Canadians that you can purchase all year around at Chinese market. Most of my dragons-78-at one time loved them and very good for them.I paid exactly .80 for a big bunch of them as knowing this baby she will probably eat them all in no time.Just wanted to let all Canadains know in case you're looking for them. They also have Chinese mustard seeds if anyone uses them. River-7

Cool, some of them do love water. My little girl[new one] 'Doodle-Bug'] is her name she was frightened at first but after a minute or two she loved it.What a difference in babies lol-she eats like crazy., which makes me very happy.Loves her salad especially mustard greens, and loves her phoenix worms so all is well.river-7

Welcome-they are funny little demons.I had a male by the name of 'Zuess' and he use to swing off-of his temp wires and try to tight rope walk the wires while head bobbing.I wish with this new computer I could put pics up and I would show you.Oh well I will figure it out sooner or later to show all of you. I am so glad your new baby is showing some nice colours. Means he's starting to relax.I only have 1-dragon now and she's spoiled rotton. She is soo lovey at night before bed.I used a hand held vac to clean out any left over crix; last night and she never batted a eye.Boy yesterday a.m.- I put in 10-crix; and she ate ALL at about 6-weeks old. Great little eater. Anyone need part-time help??? lol. River-7
