Nachos road to recovery:: Daily soaks with pedialyte. Nacho was happy to drink from the dropper while in the bath. Very happy baby right now. Still not wanting live food. Doing 3 daily feedings of the baby food, carnivores care, and critical care mixed with pedialyte instead of water.

Omg so happy right now! Nacho just ate about 7 crickets! Chased them right down! First time in about 9 days he's wanted them! Happy Happy Happy :)

He would only eat 2 meal worms, and a yucky cricket that somehow got left behind in a corner. Lol pet shop was out of little crickets, so going tomorrow. Still doing his tube feeding with the "mix" and pedialyte soaks. He gets all crusty from the soft food, so bathing is a must! Seems to love it And gets him to drink. The pet store made owning a bearded Dragon sound very low maintenance. Glad I researched a little further. They were inaccurate on many aspects.

Once he gets healthier he'll be okay. They really are great animals to own. Think about it, they don't leave fur all through the house and they don't stink! All they need to live can be kept in a 40 gallon tank! I wouldn't say they are LOW maintenance but maybe minimal maintenance. Not any more cleaning up and feeding that I do for my cats. I found that pet stores don't really know much about the animals they sell which is sad. That is why it's good we have forums like this so that we can all help each other out!

This forum has been so great. Its really nice to talk with other beardie owners. I already want another beardie. I love how sweet he is. I'm definitely learning as I go. This was definitely a rough experience for a beginner such as myself. But I'm dedicated to learning everything I can. And a lot of my knowledge came.from here. Nacho found a comfy place to hide during bedtime cuddles lol

Nacho is doing really REALLY good! He ate about 12 crix for breakfast! I only had 4 when I got up, so I raced to the pet shop and grabbed 20 more! Lol I'm so pleased. I really thought I was going to lose my little guy!
