That’s great to hear if you’re still worried about rocky eating you can always ask your vet for some critical care formula to keep his energy up and or putting some electrolytes in his water. All and all I’m so happy rocky is doing better and hope he’s fully recovered soon ❤️❤️❤️

Emilia, I just wanted to thank you so much for all your input and really helpful advice and we will certainly take heed of all you have said. We are trying to give him some space and believe me when I say he is watched constantly but quietly. I never thought I would be a reptile lover at all and I wouldn't even pick him up when we first got him. But everyday he has been with us he has broken down the barriers and I wouldn't swop him for the world. My heart was breaking on Sunday when we saw the state he was in.... honestly it was such an awful moment and couldn't sleep at all that night worrying about him. My son is finding a t-shirt to put in the vivarium with him, but we have been covering him in a little blankie overnight and ensuring he is as comfortable as possible. Nothing wrong with being a crazy lizard lady and I think I will join your club :) Your three Beardies sound like they are spoilt rotten and deservedly so. Thank you again. I wasn't sure how everyone was going to react to the post but you've all been so nice and so helpful. We will never let Rocky out of our sight again for sure. xxx
Rocky is so handsome!! Beautiful beardie! The very nice family I got my 2nd baby from had a pop up playpen that you might want to look into. It folds up small as a purse, folds out into a circle big enough to sit down in & let the beardie run around you in. I've used it inside & outside for both my boys. I can't just let mine wander. I have too much furniture (They are always looking for something to hide under) & other animals so I love it!

This is a very difficult post to write and we hope someone on the forum can give us some advice. We are first time owners of an 8 month old Beardie called Rocky and please believe me when we tell you he is very much loved. On Sunday evening Rocky was on walkabouts in our son's room and unfortunately managed to get himself lodged / trapped in between the radiator and wall which was on at the time. As soon as our son alerted us we pulled the radiator off the wall and got him out. He was almost catatonic and black bearded all over (not moving). We put him straight in a bowl and put him in tepid water. We managed to get hold of a vet on the phone who advised the stress of a visit to the surgery may be too much however, we had done the correct thing by putting him in water and calming him down. There is no sign of burns on him and we took him to the vet the following day who advised that she could not see any fractures and he was not suffering with organ failure as far as she was aware - his vitals were fine but she gave him a painkilling injection. The thing is our poor little man has been really traumatised by this event and he will not move or eat. We have been keeping the room as quiet as possible and the night it happened I kept vigil on him. As he wont eat I am going to make some liquidised food up for him and try to feed him with a syringe. I am concerned he wont move... he just seems to crawl in to a different position but wont stand. I appreciate he is probably still in shock, but do you think we should take him back to the vets? Is there anything we can do to help him? Any advice would be much appreciated as we just want to do all we can help to help him. Thank you so much for reading this.
My goodness; this is heartbreaking to read. Never ever leave a beardie unattended. Rite now continue to do the everyday care; lots of heat; 95-100 only and lots of UVB; make sure you are using a clear zoomed bulb for heat and the Reptisun 10.0 T5 for UVB. Keep both on for 10-12 hours on in the winter and 12-14 on in the summer. Never ever use colored or coiled bulbs it burns their eyes. Pure dark and quiet at nite, if temp drops below 70 buy a ceramic heat emitter 60watts. Give him lukewarm baths in dechlorinated water buy REPTISAFE, and 2 baths per week always. Give him dubia roaches & crickets as proteins & give him blueberries, they love them try to feed him this while he is still in shock; u mite get him to eat the berries and lots of greens and veggies everyday. syringe feeding is good blend the greens; mustard greens, dandelions, collard greens, yellow sqaush, butternut squash, snap peas, green beans and endves are the best everyday greens, you can blend a few and syringe feed him; and take him to the vet again. Let him walk on/lounge on your bed and see if he will walk u can place a huge sheet over the bed and try and give him some dubia roaches and crank up the house heater so he is warm. Also, his cage looks very very small, he needs 40 gallon till age of 10mnths then get a 120 gallon basically 4feet long by 2feet high and 2feet deep. Also, make sure he has a a hideway toget away from the heat and UVB, Get a hammoch and place a soft cloth over it and underneath a soft flelce blanket so he can be cozy and be away from light when he wants
