Oh gosh yea those are tiny :) lol pinheads hehe I remember opening my first box of 500 1/2 grown I opened the box and they start crawling all over the place I was in a panic thinking OMG what do I do!! lol I tipped them into the big tub and started catching the ones that the cats were then playing with on the floor.. lol good times.
You sure do get used to coming up on a dried up bugs here and there lol Can't imagine 3K worth of crickets..

I have always kept my crickets in a tank. The first time I ever ordered them I put the tank in the tub and then emptied the box into the tank. This way if there was any escapes they couldn't climb out of the tub!

Oh yea you get a routine for sure! I kept them in a 30 gal tub so I would cut the tape open the first 2 lids then turn the box over and shake shake shake then tip it over and get the ones hanging on the sides :) Then all you gotta do is shake out the egg flats :) sure is a learning curve when you got loose ones running around lol

Haha I'm sorry but I laughed so hard. When I opened my first box of dubias they started crawling out and it scared me! I figured they would be in a container but I was very wrong lol. Uhhh my suggestion is to borrow a couple of cats from your friends. Every once in a while one cricket gets lose and my cat always finds it within 5 minutes, even when I didn't know I dropped one!
