This post is just to help others in similar situation. We were so scared when it happened to our Gildy.

Our 3-year old bearded dragon, Gildy swallowed a marble while roaming in my sons room. He came to us sobbing because he was so afraid for his pet.
We contacted our local herps specialist. She first asked us to try and feel for it to make sure Gildy had in fact swallowed the marble. Which he had, it was easy to feel in his abdominal cavity. She told us we could either have it surgically removed or wait it out to let him try and pass it naturally. She also asked us to bring Gildy in if we noticed signs of bowel obstruction. We tracked Gildy’s eating and activity for any changes or signs of obstruction. If that had happened surgery would have been next.

We decided to wait it out. We continued to feed and spray with water normally. There was no change in Gildy’s feeding or level of activity.

Three weeks and 4 days later my daughter alerted me that Gildy was trying to pass the marble. Gildy visibly struggled for about 3-5 minutes walking around his enclosure and finally passed the marble! We checked him for any blood and he didn’t seem to be in any pain.
It was pretty scary watching him struggle/strain but we are just overjoyed that it is out. The marble was red/orange ( not bloody)

IF you let the beardie out he needs to be closely monitored and you need to vacuum the entire home/area; they will eat and lick everything. So no food, bugs or cleaning products or teeny objects should be anywhere in sight.
