I bought a 26 WAT uvb bulb “exo terra”. I don’t know if that’s good or not. I have no idea what kind of heating lamp to upgrade to. I think it just depends on the temperature but I am paranoid. Please help me I have looked all over the internet and cant clarify my questions.

Please get rid of the coil bulb--- those are inadequate and a health hazard I am going to post some UVB's for you and you can get the one you can afford / like they are all good fixtures
this one you need to replace the bulb and get the bulb I post
you want a 24" fixture or 2 ft- its good for the size of the tank your getting - https://hydrobuilder.com/sunblaster-nanotech-t5-ho-fixture-with-6400k-lamp.html
or this one you can try Pet Smart if you have one you want the 12% bulb 24 watt https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/en...v-b-kit-65058.html?cgid=500114&fmethod=Browse or order on line
or this one it will come w/ a 5.0 bulb you need to get this bulb for this fixture as well as the Nano Tech
22" bulb https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...d-reptisun-10-0-uvb-t5?variant=26907418591332
the 5.0 can be kept for back up but placement and distance is different from the 10.0 bulb
please get two digital probe thermometers for surface basking temps -- these are imperative to your surface basking temps --- https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...meters-1/products/zoo-med-digital-thermometer
you also want a digital probe hygrometer https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...eters-1/products/exo-terra-digital-hygrometer
place on back center wall of the tank --
basking bulbs will be trial and error --- I have a 4x2x2 Zen and use 3 basking bulbs but I have 2 different areas for basking the hot side - and the middle of the tank which is in the 90's -- a good piece of basking decor that offers different places to sit will give a gradient heat -- for a baby 105-110 -- 6 months and older 95-100 for surface basking temps -- you want a solid clear bright white basking bulb --- NO colored --- NO off white or yellowish and NO coils --- if you need more help please ask --- I will help you get the UVB placed it will need to go inside the tank here is a pic of one of my tanks

All are basking lights -- I have 2 basking areas --- the one in the back is for hotter temps if he wants more heat - one is a 150 watt 2 are 75 watt bulbs -
