So was looking and saw enclosures at petsmart on sell. One is 36x18x12 and the other is 36x18x18. My question is which would be more ideal for a bearded dragon?

I have the 36x18x18 for both mine and we love them. Bearded dragons also love to climb so it's good to not only give the the floor space but also give them some vertical room. Just remember with the extra height you have a bit more of a challenge with your lighting to get the basking spot the right temp and getting them close enough to the UVB.

Just had an image for you......i'm assuming you would want this to be your beardies permanent home. So right now my Dexter is just shy of 18". Which means her body itself from nose to tail base is probably 10/11 inches. If she glass danced or just stood up in a 12" tank, she'd almost be touching the top of the tank.
