I have a friend who lives just outside of Charlotte. He loves it. Spends a lot of his summer in a/c. But I'm jealous that he plants his garden in March/April! We have to wait until late May. :(
I also have a 55 gallon tank so I bought a repti carpet for a 75 gallon tank (its the right length, just too wide) so I trimmed it down to a perfect fit. :) You can also use paper towels.
Happy Easter to you as well! Having young kids makes our holidays pretty exciting/busy. We are heading to my moms for an Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow then spending Sunday at home with Easter baskets and a ham dinner. :)
Just an update on our baby. We've had Thistle for 2 1/2 weeks now and he's doing great. He just started his 3rd shed and seems pretty annoyed today. We gave him a bath after the kids got home from school and he loved it. He's still trying to get out by running into the side of his cage, but only...
Hello! We are in the same boat. Just allowed our 10 week old beardie to explore my sons room for the first time this morning. Very supervised of course! He's a ton of fun and a ton of cute (in a reptile sort of way). :) Good luck with your little one!
I can totally picture you riding with a dragon on your shoulder. In my imagination he's even wearing a tiny helmet. Lol! You can tell I have kids...I think like them. :)
I've lived in Northern New Hampshire my whole life. I'd love to be able to try living in the Carilinas. I very much dislike snow, yet I still have to deal with it every single year. And the bugs are miserable in the summer. I know every state has a downside, but I'd like to see for myself. :)
Hmm...good to know. I see Thistle sometimes thinks he can just walk through the glass. He will spend a minute or two trying to find a way out. I almost feel bad for him cause I know he wants to just run.
I wanted to mention...baby beardies can jump!! I was watching him tonight just after his lights went out to see what he does cause when I get up in the morning he's always way up on the fake plants sleeping. Well, he jumped a good 4 inches straight up to get to them! I was stunned. I never...
I love the idea of having the food dishes up off the ground and on a shelf. Also, I'm thinking of replacing the fake plants in Thistles home with a hammock. I think they would be safer. Plus he could get that much closer to his basking spot if he chose to. :)
