I'm still leaning 98% male. I guess you'll find out for sure in the next 2 years lol. Many think one way, then there are eggs, and they have to rethink a name lol. I made sure to pick a gender neutral name just in case, but now mine in 6 years old and never laid anything. So, I'm definitely sure...
I say male. There are two small bumps on each side and when the light shines, you can see the two testes. Female dragons lay their first clutch by 18-24 months, and your dragon looks fully grown. My Collins (male) looks just like that.
Honestly I have had this same issue since I first got my dragon. I am in Wyoming and it is so dry here, it's insane. I have a humidifier that pumps directly into his tank twice a day for 30 minutes each. I also have a water dish inside that he does occasionally use for drinking. I am happy to...
They often flatten out to gather more sun, or just mad lol. Mine will puff up when I go to grab him (he hates me and everyone else, it's just who he is). He is not fat, give it a few and he should deflate. My vet said at the base of the tail there should be a dimple on each side, and that means...
Mine didn't like crickets either, but enjoys the dubia roaches. Dubiaroaches.com has great pricing if you live in the US and over 6 yrs I have only had 2 issues. Mine also loves the canned silk worm pupea when the fresh bugs are all gone. He will literally crawl out of the tank to get them when...
Also, i have heard that you can grind up some bugs and dip the greens in it to entice the dragon to eat. I haven't had to try it, so I don't know if it really works. My dragon is one of the few who loves his veg.
To help with the greens in the future, you can add some bee pollen to 'sweeten' the taste, and/or dip the greens in a mixture of ground up mealworm and a touch of water. Then she will be more likely to eat them if they smell and taste more like the bugs she likes. I hope that helps and that she...
One way to encourage your dragon to eat more veg, would be to grind up some bugs and dip the veg into the ground up mixture. This means the veg has the bug taste, but then the dragon can have some veg. I personally love having roaches over crickets; roaches can't climb, fly, or bite. Crickets...
Do you know if discoid roaches are legal in Florida? Dubiaroach.com now sales those as they are allowed in more states. They also have all the other live bugs that your dragon will love.
I also saw where you can blend up some bugs and dip greens in the mixture to entice dragons to eat their...
While cleaning the tank today, the door decided to slam closed and break. There were some tiny glass shards inside the tank on the carpet, which was immediately removed. I also cleaned it all down to ensure no other shards remained. The glass feels fairly smooth still, but I was worried that he...
I run the medication syringe over my dragons lips until he opens. It was harder the first couple time, but I think he's better now because the medication helps him, and he know it. The first couple times I had to hold him with one hand on my lap, and use my finger to gently get him to open his...
You don't want to give too many baths. When my dragon was young, the vet recomended every other day while he is actively shedding (no more than a week). That was recommended becuase my dragons skin cut off the blood flow to the tip of his tail. Now that he is older, I use on de-shedding mist I...
Some dragons never eat as much as they should. My guy just refused to eat as much aseveryoe else claimed they should. Even to this day (3 years later), he is not a big eater. He is a healthy weight and overall heathy, so don't stress too much. Mine also prefers salad over bugs. Definitely a plus...
Yes, we do have a grass hammock that he has not had issues with in the 4 years we have had him. We tried the mesh ones and he refused to use them. I also use tank carpet, a few slate rocks, and a few resin and plastic items.
