Hello,
He's good. No signs of the issue for past week. Swallowing food without any head shakes.
As for supplements. Is this a good amount of supplements on veggies?
And new enclosure is on the way. I'll replace 90x45x45 to 120x60x60 to provide him a required distance to the lamps according to...
Yesterday he was very active and curios. Today he basked for 2-3 hours in the morning and right now he's in his hide.
As for supplemenation: Feed him 3 times a week
Monday: Cal, greens
Wednesday: Cal+D3, dubia (3 full growns)
Friday: Multivitamins + D3, greens/Repashy Beardie Buffet
As for...
Hello again!
I've visited vet today and got the blood analysis:
PHOS 2.24 mmol/L. Should be 0.61-1.65
CA >4.00 mmol/L. Should 1.90-2.50
TP 57 g/L. Should be 30-81
Based on these results, vet told me that it might be Calcium overdose based on his blood. We're discussuing his diet + supplements...
Current distance from the heightest basking point in hot area is something about 10-11 inches (30cm). Cold area though has no direct vertical UV lights: enclosure is "divided" by 2/3 + 1/3 to provide a cold and hot areas.
Do you think 1-2 inches make a big difference in UVB for the dragon?
He...
Hey again,
Cal, Cal+D3 + Vitamins. In total 3 times a week, powder ZooMed.
He has been doing that since last mid summer. He did brumate for 4 months and after waking up it still the same.
I use T5 Arcadia Pro set and replace lamps each 8 months.
It's mounted on "ceiling" of his enclosure, so...
Hello again,
Yes, he's still doing that when he swallows food with head turned 45-90 degress to any side. When his head is looking straight - everything is fine. Also I noticed that "second" and all next swallowing are also good, with no shaking
Oblu
Only when swallows food, especially when his head is turned 45-90 degress to his body. I mean when he turns head to me, but body remains in same position
Thank you!
Thanks for having your time on that. Just wanted to confirm, 00:18, can you see that dragon "shakes" it's head during swallowing? I hope video shows that properly
Should not be that case - he's doing that since the last year. He was brumating for 4 months and I hoped that this thing will go away, but it's not yet

Hello,
I have 2 yo dragon. Very active, like to eat, like to bask a lot. Brumates every winter, poops good as well.
But when he eats, his head shakes in very weird way.
He does that ONLY when he swallows a food.
I give him food 3 times a week: greens, Repashy and dubia roaches. 1x Cal, 1x...
Only 2 dubia roaches which are not harmful to him. But I'll try to clean foot with toothbrush next time he has a bath.
Thank you. Will update this thread once I have any updates
