Anyone have suggestions on how to keep crickets alive longer? I buy 250 at a time from premium crickets. They are kept indoors in a 10 gallon tank. The tank is wrapped on the outside with a black tank back ground and always have carrots in the tank for food and hydration. It just seems like...
I was told the dry cricket food makes their exoskeleton harder which makes it harder for the beardie to digest I was suggested to use carrots as food/ water source for them but in doing so is my beardie going to get too many of certain vitamin source?
He is eating most of them and I was giving the calcium once a day but noticed it may have been too much as his poop was showing a little yellow. Yes it is a uv tube light.
My beardie looks a little bit fat. Here is his diet
Mixed salad twice a day dandelion, collard and mustards yellow squash mixed in twice a week
10-13 bsfl daily
Average of about 20 medium crickets a day dusted every other day with d
Fruit once a week papaya or strawberry
Vitamin every other week
It’s about 3/4 of the tank and I already changed the screen out from the kit we purchased. His husbandry is spot on just need to know how much and how often he should be getting his vitamin supplements
