Let the shed do its thing ---- do NOT pick you can cause bleeding which can lead to infection - when the shed gets to be dry and crackly take a spray bottle mist and then take a soft baby toothbrush and gently brush the shed - the loose stuff will come off -- they need decor in the tank so they can rub against it - they may drag their bellys on the substrate if they are shedding their stomachs --- humidity in the tank also helps w/ shed thus moist air -- optimal humidity in the tank is 40-50% taken w/ a digital probe hygrometer -- you dont want lower than 20% and over 70--I have read conflicting opinions when it comes to keeping a beardie moist during shed. Is it best to keep them dry or moist during shed?
