She does tend to use them when it suits her! And my coworkers have pointed out all the tiny cuts on my hands lol she doesn't resist In the slightest now I support under her tail which is nice that she trusts me. I blame countless YouTube videos seeing owners pick up tame beardies round the waist ;)
Thank you for offer :) but would cost a bomb to send to me hehe a ceramic emitter seems to be the best bet for me, especially as the weather doesn't look like it'll get any better any time soon! X
Thanks, it's not a great photo but she has pretty orange markings on her head and a normal, dull coloured body if that makes sense? (Can U tell I'm new to this lol) I got her from a girl in my town through a reptile facebook page, the girl was re-adopting her because she has cystic fibrosis and...
Hiya, from what I can gather she was mostly on locusts, morio worms and rocket and carrot. Her owners seemed a bit laid back with her set up as when I collected her she needed a new basking lamp and the tank was only heated by the Uvb which I will be replacing asap! She seems to poop normally...
Hehe that's funny! Since I've started scooping under her bottom she's fine now and doesn't dig in with the claws which saves me the awful job of giving her manicures
I got my beautiful beardie from someone a week ago and noticed she has a funny withered looking tail (see photo) I thought nothing of it but after someone suggested it may be calcium deficiency or mbd I'm really worried. Never having had a reptile before, I have nothing to compare her behaviour...
I've only had my female beardie for a few days and she's settling in fine, however she seems to have a misformed tail that appears nipped in a quarter of the way down all the way to the bottom. Did an accident cause this or was she likely born with it? I've attached a picture so you can see
As a new beardie owner, I'm not too sure what night bulb to go for. My house drops below 15 Celsius at night, I have 100w bulb for day time and a Uvb. What is a good wattage to go for at night? Do I want a night coloured bulb or a ceramic heat emitter? What brands are good and best value? Thanks...
I never thought that it could be because she was dropped before which is possible as she lived in a house with young children. I will definitely think about the nails, but once she's more trusting of me :) thanks for ur help
