The little guy could be dehydrated. Give him a nice warm bath, and spray him once in a while. Hope this helps.

What has worked for me is I use a 16oz deli cup inside a PVC coupler, with a small brick next to it so my little guy can look down upon his food!!! Buahhahaha.
This is pretty much what I use as water dishes for my snakes, so I just use a spare coupler. Although a small glass bowl could work...
I would get some water crystals in a shallow dish to supplement the greens you already threw in. Other than that, it sounds like you have a hood handle for it already. Be patient!!!

I've had him for almost 2 weeks now. I don't want to try crickets because I already have a dubia colony I have for my Leos to feed out of. Might give him a little more time to get used to me because he still flips out at his own reflection.

How many appropriately sized dubias should a 2 month old 7 1/2 inch beardie be eating per feeding?

He's in a 40 gallon partitioned into 2/3 of the tank. Basking spot is about 9 inches from the bulbs...
Waited for the FedEx fairy this morning and got my first beardie. He's a male orange hypo leather back that I got from John Libretti @ www.johnsorangedragons.com. He looks great with and is alert but really skiddish as most young animals are.
Anyway here's a picture of him. Not sure of a name...
So does this mean regular dusting with the calcium plus supplement work well for beardies? I currently use this stuff for my Leos and it seems to work great for them.

Hi everyone. So I finally decided to delve into the world of bearded dragons. I'll be getting my beardie next week from a local breeder here in Long Island and I'm pretty excited for her. Just waiting to get my enclosure all set up first. I know how reptile forums LOVE pictures as I am also a...
Thank you :D and yes I like to lurk around reading old posts and such. I saw and handled a beardie at a local reptile store here in Long Island and fell in love. I currently own 8 ball pythons and 4 leos, so I have a general idea about reptile husbandry already. I just wanted to know the...
Getting my first beardie in a few weeks and have been researching tanks to get. I notice that a 30 and 40 gallon breeder tank are the same dimensions other than height. Is the extra height necessary?
