I had like a three pg topic discussion goin about her. lol You dont remember? it was me, you and the mod going back and forth, you suggested silkies i think. I guess shes in good health. the vet didnt find anything obviously wrong with her.... Ya think she just wanted the silkies or what!? Shes...
Silkworms arrived today. I only ordered 50 because i wasnt sure she was going to eat them. I put 13 in her bowl, and as soon as I did that, she ran over and gobbled them right down! For those of you who dont know, syd hasnt eaten on her own in almost a year now. This is so exciting, Im so happy...
I only have cricks. No money for anything else at the moment... Story of my life haha. I want to get her some silkworms in the near future. I keep saying that but other stuff keeps coming up. :/
Im so excited I had to share. Syd ate her first entire bowl of greens! She is almost 2 and hasnt eaten on her for 8 months. YES! Still not going for the cricks.... But sooner or later I know she will. I havent been syringe feeding her for about a week now... Should I keep "starving" her?
Well I didnt give her anything yesterday. Im not going to for a few days and see what happens. Someone slashed my brand new tire on my car so i had to buy a new one. Now i only have 15.00 until next week. UGH. So im going to try with crickets instead of ordering silkies.
So I took Sydney out to bask on our deck and she picked up a dried up pink geranium petal. I was kind of concerned because I dont know if she can have them. So I gave her some turnip greens and she ate three bites!!! I know its not alot but she hasnt ate on her own in 8 months! I'm so excited...
k well i guess it wont hurt to try... Ive tried that a little bit, but i never let her get past four days with no food, so i always end up syringe feeding her.... :(
So worms huh. Any recommendation as to where to buy them from? I'd like to try silkies.
She poops regularly, acts and looks fine, just doesnt eat. 8 mos ago she was treated for pinworms successfully, never ate after that. I took her to the vet, they did a fecal and probed around some. They want to see her back for bloodwork and x rays which I'll be able to do once my financial aid...
Its ok, not your fault about the price. Maybe I am imagining the weight gain... lol I dont have a scale, sometimes she does look bigger though. Do you know anything about absorbing the eggs or whatever. I heard that could happen?
