It was the Cedar. I took it out after reading about the respiratory problems and just over 24 hours later he ate about 40 crickets!!! That was the last thing that I would have blamed. Good for you for knowing such useful trivia about reptile respiratory systems ;)
As far as the red night light...
Hello Bearder friends,
My Morpheus has gone through some huge changes lately, and I know the changes are probably stressing him out, but he is still not eating and I feel the initial stress time should be over.
I got him a new tank, from 55 gal to 75 gal. My tile no longer fit, so I switched...
I must admit I've been curious what my fellow forum-ers look like.
Too bad I had something in my teeth for this photo. This photo was taken in Tanzania when my little buddy fell on my head from above
I know it's been a while... Morpheus is all grown up! And luckily I have confirmed that he is, indeed, male. Unlike my female cat whom I still call Zeus.
I hope these pictures work!
Oh My Goodness I LOVE it!!! HA what a wonderful idea... I'm going to make one right now. Thanks for sharing! I was not in the mood to pay around $15 for one of those things.
The ones I've looked at appear too big for him? Hmmmm. I would love for him to run around on my couch or desk but I have a huge fear of him leaping off and onto the carpet... and out of sight.
More pictures of my main man Morpheus. He likes standing on his back legs a lot... and I respond by taking many pictures. He is about to move into a 55G pent house! More pics then... enjoy these now.
For those of you keeping up with my stud muffin Morpheus, he is doing much better. He eats 15-25 crickets a day, and is much more active than he was before. In fact, it is almost too active. I can hardly hold him anymore without him trying to jump out of my hands and explore everything.
CORRECTION!!!!
I just got home and found the bulb box. I am using Exo Terra Day Glo 150 W but on the back it says "stimulates natural behavior through UVA rays". Is this still not correct?
Thanks for the timer info... I've been wondering about that.
Gah I feel foolish. I bought a collection of bulbs off Ebay and was told it was all I need. Luckily I take him outside enough for him to get proper UV, but apparently only enough not to DIE! My poor baby. I'll be fixing that today. It is a stick thermometer (as seen in the picture) but not for...
1. 105 degrees
2. 90
3. Regular thermometer (a humidity scale and better temp reader is in the works)
4. ExoTerra day glo basking 75 watt/black light at night.
5. Tile
His crickets are no bigger than his head. But what concerns me is that if he did eat 5, and should have gotten more, why would...
