    New Enclosure - Lighting Options???

I'm converting an entertainment center type cabinet into a beardie enclosure, and want to know your suggestions on lighting. Currently i am using a dome light for heat and another for uvb, but thought the long tube type lights would be better for this setup... so nothing hangs down. I will...

Need some advise ASAP on New enclosure - Buying it in an hour!!!!

It's solid oak, with a mirror in the back, one light fixture overhead, underneath has pull out drawers for storage (aka. crickets and worms)... I was thinking about building one from scratch, but this looks like a much more economical option...

Need some advise ASAP on New enclosure - Buying it in an hour!!!!

It's 5' tall, and 3' x 3' (width and depth). I was thinking of pulling out the guts in the large open area and installing a glass hinged door to make this an enclosure for my 1 year old beardie. Any pros or cons to this that anyone has experienced?

Leaving town Sat/Sun, back Monday... Should I take dragon w/ me?

We're going camping - Friday night through Monday mid-day. Would my beardie be better off at home alone for these two days - or should i try and take him with me somehow? I dont' want to stress him out by traveling... But don't want him to starve. Thoughts??? My dragon is approx. 1 year old...

Here are the two lights i bought. I've been leaving the red light on 24/7, and the white light on only during the day... I appreciate everyone's comments and help!!!

Rescued abandoned beardie at ball field - he's doing great!

Well, the red light they said to get is a heat lamp and is on continuously, and then i have the white light that is supposed to simulate the sun... which is only on during the day... I will check brands and powers when i get home, and let you know. My tank is 70 gal (possibly a 60)... Should...

Rescued abandoned beardie at ball field - he's doing great!

Someone apparently dumped this little guy at a local ball field, and he is now my new buddy! We had him checked out, and is healthy. Apparently he wasn't out in the wild for long, because he wasn't skinny... However, he didn't move far from where he was seen the previous days, so it was...

    Bathtime Outside

We just rescued our beardie - who was abandoned outside near a ball field - - he's doing great - but he poops in his food bowl, and likes sleeping in his water dish... is this normal? (his cage is not too hot)
