Being my first beardie, this guy has been nothing but great. Great eater, great temperament, and great shedder. Was wondering why he was being finicky with being handled lately and went to go turn out his lights to see him going through his first full shed since we’ve had him. Can’t wait to see...
So my new beardie has developed a habit of pooping on his basking log. Of course I pick it up as soon as I see it, but I was wondering if I should scrub it down every time he does it and if so, what should I use to clean it?
Was wondering what’s the recommended feeding schedule for a baby beardie? The store I got him from had him on a morning/evening feeding schedule. Should I stay with that or go to maybe 3 times a day? He’s just starting to eat after the first 3 days of adjusting so not in any hurry to change his...
Very happy that he finally ate. I’m keeping track of how many crickets he’s had so far. Also, is having my T8 fixture positioned sideways along the tank going to be a permanent thing or is there a way to mount it on the inside? It’s only a 20g long
Update: He just started eating his crickets. Not sure if hunger finally came over him or the change of light and giving him some water got him going but while I was cleaning out the cricket cage, he started to get excited and once I put some in there(dusted) he went straight for them
I just checked on him and he had his eye open like normal but closed it once I came closer to him. I’ll try to move the light and give him some water now
So here is a pic of the eye in question and a picture of his current set up with the new lights. With the T8, should that be mounted inside the tank then? It’s a 20g long.
Yes it’s a Reptisun 10.0 T8. What do you mean by no screen? And I did do a temp check with the digital probe on his basking spot and temps were at 105 consistently. I’ll show a pic of new set up tomorrow after the lights are on.
Will his eye get better with the change of lights? I don’t believe...
