So Worf is a year old. I don't handle him other then to give him a bath every couple of weeks (I spray him down daily). He will eat from my hand and has never biten me.
I would like to start handling him more. Would I go about that differently then the tips usually given to handle a baby?
I always worry about my guy. He in my mind has always been on the smaller side..I see ones in the pet stores about the same age and they seem huge..now at about a year he seems to be having some huge growth spurts. Probably to make up for being in brumation for all of winter.
In my head I always thought it was length of the roach...so I've been feeding a lot of smaller sized roaches...This is awesome to know..Thank you Germ and all of your wisdom!!!!

haven't been on in a bit. All has been going pretty well. Whorf is about 7 months now. This past month he has gone almost completely vegetarian. He loves his greens which I put powedered vits on....but maybe only eats a few roaches a week.
I've changed out his light just recently...
I know some people are able to find them at PetSmart type of places. Mine don't carry them. Though I have heard that sometimes they will order them for you. I found a reptile store that had some and bought a small amount to see if Worf even would eat them. I didn't want to order a whole lot...

As soon as I put roaches into Worf's bowl the most he'll eat is 5-6 at once and then he goes to his basking spot. Half hour or so later he'll run back down to his bowl and...
