Hedgehog and bearded dragon in the same enclosure.

While I was at petsmart yesterday buying some crickets for Noz one of the employees had started talking to me about all her animals. She said she had a few cats, a dog, a beardie, some gerbils and a hedgehog. I told her I wanted a hedgehog but with my dog, rats, beardie and a child I don't have...

Why Did You Name Your Beardie The Name You Chose?

Nozdormu is the aspect of time, a bronze dragon in the Warcraft game lore. I'm kind of a nerd with the story of that game, world so I thought it fit perfect lol

    Mhmm, three of them

I got it at petsmart for $9

    His new hammock

Got Noz a new hammock. He didn't want anything to do with it when I first put it in, but now he only comes down to eat LOL I really liked the pattern on his belly too, I've never seen it like that before.

    Strange sleeper

My thoughts exactly! I said in my other post that it looked pretty uncomfortable (I know what having a kink in my neck feels like, I don't even want to imagine that lol) but I'm not a dragon so I can't speak for him there. Heck, that might even be the most comfortable position known to beardies...

    Strange sleeper

I posted a thread about Nozdormu's sleeping habits, and I was finally able to get a picture of his funny little pose when his lights came on this morning. For almost a month this is how he's slept just about every night, every now and again he'll sleep on his log but it's mostly like this.

    Nozdormu after his first shed

The employees tend to leave me alone when I'm there, which doesn't necessarily bother me. Before I go in and buy anything (lights, substrate, etc) I research what I should and shouldn't get so I don't have to deal with them. The beardies they house together seem to be fine, none look sick or...

    Nozdormu after his first shed

He just finished shedding for the first time, still has a little patch on his hips. I have absolutely no idea how old he his, the only problem I've run into with the PetsMart folks is they didn't know the age of the dragons o picked him from.

    Sleeping question

The only reason I have a night light for him is because my room tends to get pretty cold at night during the winter. The first night I had him I woke up to make sure he was alright and the temperature dropped to 60° only after a couple hours. I assumed it would only get colder so I put the black...

    Sleeping question

I just had a question concerning the sleeping habbits of my beardie. At night when his day lights get turned off and the night light gets turned on he will climb off his log, curve himself up against the glass and sleep like that all night. I was just wondering if this is abnormal, if it could...

    Ladies and Gentlemen...

It's a little 20 gallon. I feel like it's good for his size right now, but they had a 40 gallon on sale for $40 so I bought that but I figured it would be a good idea to wait a little bit to avoid too much moving stress. Besides, I would like to put sand in the 40 so I should wait until he's big...

    Ladies and Gentlemen...

I would like to introduce you to Nozdormu (possibly) I brought him home last night, and it's already been a blast :) The little desert starter kit made by Zilla didn't come with all the proper doodads for a bearded dragon, so I would say to avoid that. I've already had to go buy my own lamps...

Today is the day my beardie comes home!

I finally got the living quarters set up and ready for my dragon, so I think I'll be getting my beardie today before the weather gets too bad. I'm very excited to begin this experience, and once we're home and settled in I'll have pictures up of the new addition :-D

    heat question

I had read in a book that under tank heaters were recommended, but something about it didn't sit too well with me. I'm glad that with just reading some of the topics on this forum that I can have most of my questions answered without having to dig too far :-)
