Yep! His uvb is not inside but on top of his tank with no screen obstructing it, 12 inches from his basking spot and 15 from the ground. He does have a hammock in his tank he’s been using often.
Hi there, my beardie has been very active lately in his viv as it is due for a size upgrade, his arm has been swollen for about a week and I am wondering if I should get him in to see a vet. He doesn’t seem bothered by it and it doesn’t seem painful to touch. He is more active than ever.
Thank you very much for your thought out and well crafted response. As I don’t have a car I most likely will not be able to make it out to this vet while they sound amazing. I do appreciate your perspective and if you’d ever like to carpool let me know! Haha
Thank you very much, my current bulb is the Arcadia t5 and it is about three months old. Will get a new one in a month, I do appreciate your help. Does the Arcadia t5 satisfy in your experience? I have it 10 inches no screen above his basking decor and about 12 inches about the floor of the Viv.

I’ve seen some people using zip ties but I know they sell a kit to install the Arcadia t5 inside on the top of the viv, my set up I’ve cut a hole in the top screen of my viv but I’m not sure the light would be close enough to your beardie then. If you can until she gets back to you just leave...
Until she replies all I know is make sure you get that new uvb light inside the tank not on top of the screen, as the screen blocks the light and make sure it is placed so he is getting the rays of it while in his basking area. It should be around 12 inches above him I believe but she posted the...
Thank you so much, as of right now he is seeming to be a bit happier but we are still hoping to get him into see someone. Giving him until we upgrade his viv to a larger size and he acclimates as we had him in recently the the vet said he looked fine. He also doesn’t show any signs of discomfort...
