Thanks I'll keep an eye on him. I was worried because I don't want him to ever suffer from retained shed...squeezing and cutting off circulation :(

    Shedding issue or ?

Lately (past week or so) I have been worried about what looks like stuck shed. It could be current shed or I have no idea; the entire tail went white at once; but the last half didn't shed. The images may be difficult to see because he just got out of a soak; but there's a strange degrade...

    Humidity

Anywhere between 30 and 60% is fine. Another member covered that humidity is not a problem. Mold and fungal blooms are. Humidity is necessary for proper respiratory function. But being in a closed box full of mold and fungal spores without ventilation to remove them will cause health issues...

Odin - The Growth is Godly

@Hdrydr That's a great idea. Last time I tried he was not covered....and he was not into it...I was worried I'd end up hurting him on accident so I took a pass. I'll try that method this weekend and. See how it goes. @laswabbie lol....it's funny you said that....whenever I tell people I have a...

Just did this for his 2nd feed today and it worked perfectly. Thank you very much for this great advice. I heard of it before for the breeding tubs....no idea why it didn't dawn on me to do for the feeding dish.

    Juvenile Beardy won't eat veggies/fruits

I dust my feeders in calcium powder (just enough to cover the dubias.) and dump it all in the tub; I then after he's finished off all the dubias sprinkle the calcium powder over his greens. Not every day; (not sure of the factual information here; but it works for me.) I "believe" that the left...

    Strange Video

In the wild a beardy will eat whatever it can catch and swallow. In captivity is best not to take unnecessary risks. It's neat to watch them eat, but impaction is always out there as a risk.
