    Won’t eat after laying eggs

hi everyone. my girl laid a clutch of 24 infertile eggs Tuesday night and she doesn’t have the appetite that she should have after laying. She ate about 10 crickets Wednesday morning but that was it, and she won’t eat today (Thursday). She’s still alert although looking a little tired, and...

    Sand playbox?

That’s why I was iffy about it. She’s started showing the signs of eggs again like she did last time, but I think it’s just because it’s coming up to mating season. I’ll keep it in for a few days just in case it is eggs, but I doubt it will be. I’d rather not end up with an impacted beardie by...

    Sand playbox?

Hi. I have a laybox in Cleo’s viv from when we thought she was going to lay eggs, but she never did. I’ve kept the laybox in as she seems to enjoy digging in it, however I know sand is bad for them so should I still be using it as a playbox for her? Thanks

    Is it eggs?

Thanks! I’m keeping the lay box in there for a little longer just in case, but I really don’t think she’s going to lay any eggs.

    Is it eggs?

The follicle problem the vet was talking about is follicular stasis. The second vet I went to said it’s very possible that she may be carrying eggs because he felt a structure in her stomach, however since that vet visit she’s back to her normal self so I’m not sure if she even had eggs in the...

    Big throat?

She has put on some weight recently after not eating properly for about a week, she’s back to eating like a pig now. She does have fat pads under her arms, I think people call them beardie boobs haha :) It’ll be nice to know if she actually does have infertile eggs or if it was nothing

    Big throat?

Could this be something serious? She’s eating fine and is her usual self. I’m not sure if she is actually gravid now as she hasn’t laid any eggs, and has stopped digging around her tank and is eating again. I might take her to the vet this weekend to check for definite on the eggs, and I can ask...

    Big throat?

Hopefully that works I only really notice it so much when she’s basking, so I think it could just be excess skin

    Big throat?

Hi everyone. My 8 month old female has been sporting a big throat recently. Is this just excess skin and fat, or could it be something else? She’s possibly carrying infertile eggs as the vet said he could feel what could be eggs, this was a week ago but she hasn’t laid yet. Thanks! :) (Hope...

    Is it eggs?

Since her vet visit, she seems to have gone back to her usual self but she hasn’t laid any eggs, either that or I just haven’t found them haha. She’s back to eating livefood (leaving her salad), isn’t going crazy in her viv anymore and doesn’t try to escape when I’m holding her. I’m struggling...

    Is it eggs?

Just got back from the vet, she is indeed gravid! I have some recovery diet to syringe feed her as she hasn’t been eating. Overall he was happy with her, and if she doesn’t lay within a week he will do an ultrasound to check for any problems.

    Is it eggs?

Yeah, he told me to come back with a loser fecal sample. I have an appointment tomorrow with a different exotics vet and I’ve heard such good things about him, she’s going to have an ultrasound to check for follicles or eggs. If it’s not eggs, it most likely is parasites as she’s not eating.

    Is it eggs?

She’s mostly stopped eating, she’s eating around 5-9 small hoppers a day and it’s takes about an hour to get her to eat that as she just wants to come out of the tank, but when I take her out she wants to go back in

    Is it eggs?

I wonder if what’s happening with Cleo could just be that and not eggs
