Thank you so much!
I still have not heard from them yet so I emailed her again -- start w/ 1 ml of the cherry juice and I will keep trying to get her to respond -- you can give it by syringe -- its going to clean out the kidneys --

I finally heard back from the vet tech this is what she said

Sorry I missed a couple of messages.
For black or tart cherry juice, give just
.5ml to 1ml, daily.

I got bad news back from the vet. He has sepsis arthritis not gout. I don’t know what to do. He has to get his finger amputated now because they didn’t find what bacteria it was, in the culture. The bone is deteriorating in her original swollen finger. I am really scared that her leg will have to be amputated and I don’t think she will have a good life then. I can get a blood test and hopefully they will find the bacteria it is. Right now her leg is possible dislocated becouse of swelling it was hard to see on xray.

There are none within 100 miles! I have called around and this is the only vet that has an exotic specialist so unfortunately it is my best option.

Ok vets that can actually treat dragons are SOOOOOOOOOOO hard to find-- I was lucky and found one in the area I Iive in and she is GOOD --- the most thorough vet I have ever seen -- first visit it the intake for Hiccup was 45 minutes long - she wanted to know EVERYTHING about him -- what he lives in lighting what he ate what kind of substrate and size of tank how often he went to the bathroom --
If you can post the results of the test they did -- I can then post to the vet tech she is really good at reading test results - if you dont have them call and have them email a copy to you

I was wondering if I should still give him the antibiotic or just the painkillers since I don’t know what bacteria it is.

He is not in pain when basking. He is eating normally and not black bearding. He just seems to be in pain when trying to walk lays down after going far. The antibiotic is cedazidime.

She responded w/ this

Sepsis arthritic gout is hard to treat. Ceftz is a pretty good antibiotic. Though, they might
have better luck with Azithromycin, it has been known to hit that pretty good.
How long have they had this issue?

They took a culture for fungal and bacteria and it took 2 weeks. The test came back positive for bacteria but they could not grow anything. Then I waited another week for a follow up appointment! This is when I found out the bone was decaying so they are saying he needs a blood test tomorrow to see what infection is in his blood. I’m scared they waited too long to catch this. I was wondering the chance of recovery.
