Ok so I would get rid of what ever it is -- its possible hes caught a nail in the carpet or hammock - if you still want to use the hammock please get a cloth one or fleece one etsy.com or pamperedbeardies.com carry them and I would replace the carpet w / some textured NON adhesive shelf liner - or slated ceramic tile - needs to be cut to the measurements of inside the tank and w/ a tile cutter - nothing too coarse or too smooth you want him to be able to get traction - please do not grout or seal it down - you want to be able to pull the tiles to deep clean the tank -- you can use a thick shop paper towel found at Walmart to put underneath those tiles it will catch the watery urate -- both can be cleaned w/ vinegar/ water 50/50 -- for now let it heal - as long as there are no cuts that I can see it should go back to normal size -Yes!

Is he doing any black bearding? Causes of black bearding are improper temps improper UVB if they have fallen and hurt themselves -- distress pain - seeing another dragon or scared by birds outside a window - or seeing themselves in their reflection - also internal pain from a fall that we cant see -- gout is painfull - when you touch it does he flinch? can he walk on it now or is he favoring it ? I have never seen a broken bone in a dragon - the nail does not look to be broken - gonna ask someone about this and see what they thinkThank you so much I am going to get a new substraight as soon as possible. He isn’t black bearding and he is eating fine. When I touch his finger he moves his hand. he seems to have more trouble walking than normal. He still walks but he is is very careful on that arm not using his claw.Is he doing any black bearding? Ok its sore then --- keep an eye on him its going to take some time if hes sprained it -- what kind of UVB are you using -- no coils please this is extremely important for the healing process --- your surface basking temps and UVB are the lifeline to the dragon they pretty much control everythingHe isn’t black bearding and he is eating fine. Have the vet look at it and see what they think- is it a reptile vet? Good ones are hard to find-- please get copies of the blood work and x rays if you have them done- that way if your questioning meds or treatment I have a friend who is a vet tech in Texas that is good w/ this stuffHe is getting an absest removed on Friday. I got him an X-ray last week and everything was ok. This was before his finger got swollen. I never got a copy of the X-ray but there is an exotic animal specialist at my vet.Have the vet look at it and see what they think- is it a reptile vet? Ok sometimes they don't know dragons so just saying- it sounds sprained then it showed up not broken on the x ray it's not funny shaped or out of shape which I would think it would be if it was broken-I got him an X-ray last week and everything was ok. Yep since he's going in have them look- but get all the records/ copies from them - they may come in handy if you need them - it's always good to have themThis is what they gave me for pre surgery. Letting me know what he is going to need. This is already a big bill that’s why I was wondering if I should have them take another X-ray or not. I am forsure going to let them know about the swelling.
