I have a near five month old bearded dragon who is a hypo zero. This guy is a great eater and has been growing well and is currently sitting at 150 g but it seems like he has narcolepsy. He has no signs of illness, I have dewormed him, he is a great eater, and he is very alert, when he is awake. But this guy sleeps anywhere and everywhere - like an adult in brumation. It’s been going on for at least three months, but has anyone else seen a bearded dragon behave this way at this age? He will literally fall asleep anywhere if he’s not being actively stimulated. He eats great and not like you would expect in brumation. The enclosure temperature and lighting are on point. His nutrition is excellent. Any idea ideas?

I haft to ask - how are you getting surface basking temps and what are they? 5 month dragons do not brumate- what kind of UVB are you using? and where is it for placement on the tank? the stuff I am asking effect the behavior - how are the poops?

In the post I stated heat and lighting are settled. IR heat to 108 degrees for basking, cool side 86 degrees and T5 HO 10.0 UVB.
ok so I would recommend getting the heat down to 95-100 as they get older they dont like so much heat and I would invest in a digital probe thermometer they are the most accurate - IR guns are good but cannot read off of slate or hammocks - also the UVB needs to be in the tank if your screen is a fine mesh like a screen door - screens block 30% of the rays it needs to be directly above the basking decor 12-15 inches - if the screen is a wide hole distance 8-10 directly above the basking decor - what do his poops look like? Your cool side is a little warm and I would get that down to 80ish during the day
