got my first beardie was sort of rescued from somebody so it came with Viv & not much else
I've got all lights & heating sorted so just gotta change substrate as he came with sand which I know is not good so I'm going for tiles but what sort are best
I have heard that tile is very good for dragons because it absorbs the heat well, it also can wear down the dragons nails so they dont get too sharp, and it is very easy to clean and we all love substrate that is easy to clean. I personally don't have tile in my tank but I am looking into that! At the moment I have grinder down walnut shells which I buy at my local petco. I just look if he is swallowing a lot of substrate and he never does! So I think It is personally prefrence! Good luck with your new dragon!
I have tile in both my viva well 3/4 tile n a little sand pit at the basking end and I luv it. The tile is so easy to clean dnt cost u anything on ur fortnightly clean out coz u dnt have to buy sand to replace all the time so over all its cheaper. It keeps the heat in well and looks really nice. Mine r just sat in the viv with a little sand rnd the edges to fill the gaps I've attached part of Diego viv so u can come wot I mean
