When did your dragon start eating more greens and fruits?

Hi, we have two dragons. One is 4 months old and the other is 5 months (housed separately, of course!!). They are always let out in the morning and this seems to be the only time that they will eat their greens. I just put a couple piles on the kitchen floor and they nibble here and there until it is time to go back to their vivs (about an hr). Once they go back in their vivs I give them fresh greens and usually some fruit. I notice that Echo does nibble a little during the day (you can't hide raspberry lips) but Flash certainly does not yet. I am happy that he does eat some while he is out, but just wondering at what age do they usually start eating more greens? I have never had them eat their bowls clean. They have both been getting kale most often or spring mix. I have been keeping a lookout for collard greens but so far no luck. They both also get crickets in the morning after their free time in the kitchen and superworms or pheonix worms in the late afternoon. They eat their protein quite readily and have been growing like weeds! I have to admit though that I cannot wait until they will readily eat more greens!

At a young age beardie eat 80% live food n only 20% of greens it wnt really change much until they get to a mature adult then its 80% greens and 20% live food i wudnt worry to much bout tjere greens at tue min they still really young. As long as they will have a go then i wudnt worry. A little at that age is gud;)

Every one is different. My 17 month old would DEVOUR her salad when she was a baby. I used to call her Hoover because she would go around her tank like a vacuum and suck up all the bits of salad. Now I'm lucky if she eats a leaf of anything. You just need to keep offering the salad, they will eventually eat some of it.

Ruger devours his salad and pretty much anything and everything in his food bowl, Sydney wont eat her greens, etc if im watching...even then she wont eat much, maybe a couple bites here and there (I dont complain, I'd rather have her eat some then none)

So like Patsy said, every beardie is different

Hi; I have raised a fair of amount of young dragons; Please don't worry about greens stick to 3-basic greens and put in viv everyday and sooner or later your baby will eat them spritz them during the day to keep fresh. I personally use collard greens, mustards greens and dandelion greens and I stick to those 3-being favourite of dragons. Later when he's older you can treat him to a few different types that are on our list. Hoping this helps you and baby and please don't worry he will try them sooner or later. river-7

How much insects should a fully grown, mature dragon eat? I'm talking about one maybe a few years old.
