I pretty much treat it as gospel. Feed one or more of the green colored items daily, and offer the black colored items as treats. Don't offer anything blue or lower.

The one item on the list I would caution against is leeks. While they are listed as a black colored item, someone posted on the forum their dragon got sick and passed away because they are part of the garlic and onion family, and thus toxic to beardies. I don't think they backed it up with physical evidence, just gave their story and what the vet told them. I wouldn't risk it.
