I’m going to vacation for 2 weeks and my dog sitter is taking care of my beardie. She is willing to feed her but my beardie has a reptile carpet because she will tear any newspaper or paper towels up and I do n know what to tell my dog sitter to do to clean it up. I do t want to ask her to rinse it then watch my beardie while she’s waiting for the carpet to dry. Is there any solutions to this?

Cut up a bunch of paper bags he wont cut through those easily , lay them where it usually craps and ask her just to remove those and not touch him, you dont want them touching your dragon, lots of things could go wrong, but if thats the case, do u have a 5 gallon bucket? Ask her to put him in there while she cleans.

When you come home change out the carpet for some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut it to the size of the tank and clean w/ vinegar/ water 50/50 -- insects cannot get underneath it

She’s 4 and she’s laid eggs before but the reason I don’t think that’s what’s going on is she wasn’t doing this with the carpet
Interesting- is she only scratching or trying to dig?

Does she have a hide? The paper or shelf liner?

She has a hide and right now I’m using paper cause it was too late to go and buy the shelf lining
ok so when you change out the substrate if shes still digging you can cut up some strips of paper towel and place in her hide -- or cloth works too
