I am picking this beautiful girl up Wednesday from someone local to me and was wondering what morph she is. Is she a red leatherback?

She is for sure a leatherback. Her color could be called red although not wholly accurate. She looks to have broken stripes on her tail so she might be a Dunner as well. I would need to see a better picture of ger tail and maybe her belly to know for sure. It's probably also safe to call her a blue bar because I'm guessing those black panels turn a beautiful lilac when she's warm
If I were describing her I'd call her a blue bar leatherback Dunner. (Provided she is a Dunner)

Thank you! When I get her settled in, I will get some pictures! Dunner is reverse scales, right?

"[She is] Very orange woth like purple like tones in her back which is why we called her opal she reminded me of beautiful opal

Ok the tail stripes aren't broken and the belly scales are uniform so not a Dunner.
As far as color, there are so many names/descriptions used now they can be called anything. She does have deep saturation of color so her line has probably been bred for that color.
Color isn't like morphs though. With morphs it is a gentic mutation that can be reliability reproduced as leatherback or the Dunners I mentioned ect.
Color is completely random. It's more like melting a bunch of crayons and swirling them together, you kindda have an idea what you might get but you won't know for sure till they hatch.
As far as hets (recessive genes she might possess) theres know way of knowing what she might carry without know her parents or through breeding.

So a blue bar leatherback? She said the blue/grey turns purple/lilac color. I'd be very interested to see what she could produce but I don't think it'd be a good idea, tbh.
