What is your favorite holiday tradition?

It's the most wonderful time of the year !
We just finished putting up our lights and decorating our tree. I love the holidays all the much more with the kids but I think my favorite is just that it's bundle-up-and-snuggle weather. I love watching holiday movies with my family and enjoying popcorn and hot chocolate. Sure, I also love the tamales, and the gift-giving too.

We put our tree on thanksgiving day! My grandparents are the ones that raised us and usually we’d decorate outdoors but not this year since they are no longer with us but I will sure miss making hundreds of tamales with grandma. I wish I could eat all the food everyone can indulge with but unfortunately I’m on a really strict diet so I can maybe only get away with a pinch of each food. Tamales, those 3 flavored popcorn tins, butter cookies, hot chocolate, and candy canes! Let’s not forget my gas old school oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with milk. Day after Christmas I always wake up super early and head out to the canyons with the dogs for a 12 mile hike though. It’s a must.

Our fav tradition is every year I take my 2 boys to buy their Christmas ornament for that year. They put it on their own tree we keep year round in their bedroom. The holidays are filled with family and spending time together. That's the best!

Me and my family don’t really have any big traditions other than watching the elf and eating spaghetti on Halloween. This year, I decided to start making hats for my dragon every holiday. I’m still working on the drummer boy costume, but here’s Arnold on thanksgiving day!

Me and my family decorate the tree and the house, we also make Christmas cookies, then on Christmas day we usually open presents at home and then go to my grandma's and eat a bunch of food!

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

We simply go look at the holiday lights down town, & get a
hot chocolate. We love to watch Christmas movies, as corny
as that is. It is tradition & something to spend time together.
Baking is always something I enjoy doing, making special
treats that aren't available during the year.

My kids and I watch a morning movie with hot cocoa and treats after the presents are opened and before we prepare the Christmas meal. It's the little time together relaxing before the crazy starts that I love the most!!
