So I ordered Dubai roaches and they sent my roaches and these things...that I didn’t order...what are they, and are they safe to feed my baby dragon? They are a little over a centimeter long. They sent me 1000 of them...so hopefully I can use them. I have soldier fly larvae, but these don’t really look like them and do not feel as squishy???

If it's from dubiaroaches.com you can text or email them. They're giving alot of freebies lately trying to help out the community. They're awesome IMO. Those are a type of bug I've fed mine, can't remember the name. They said keep them in the frig far away from the main cold, like in the lower door. Unfortunately my dragons didn't eat them well & most died.

Thank you! They are from dubiaroaches.com. I will send them an email to find out. This is the second time I’ve ordered from them and I’ve been impressed with everything I’ve gotten so far.

Update! I emailed the company, and they said they were BSFL! I guess I’m just not used to them being so big! They look nothing like the ones I have..apparently they change in looks as they grow...Obviously I’m new at this....haha.

Those are black soldier fly larvae. They sent you a sample for you to try. Very nutritious and great for your beardie! the only commercial feeder that has enough calcium in them such that they don't ever need to be calcium dusted.

Sadie, seriously, are you kidding me??? After 20 years of bearded dragon husbandry and fervently recommending black soldier fly larvae to everyone, you can't identify them in a picture??

So you're here recommending things you've never had before, don't even know what they look like, calling BSFL "cleaner bugs" which in your first post, you had to "find out" if you can even feed to a bearded dragon and now you're trying to make it sound like you knew what you were talking about?? LOLOL

What a horrible attitude towards learning, both this time and the last time when you could not properly sex a bearded dragon, yet did it with complete certainty with false information on the location of the "bumps" to look for in males. The only response you should have replied with would be, "Sorry, I didn't know what BSFL look like. I will do better research next time before making recommendations and posting." 1,000 post club you're in... I used to think you knew what you were talking about...

There is a picture of BSFL and a post asking what this is. OP described that they are over 1cm long, and labelled 1,000. Either you are trying to worm out of being obviously and embarrassingly wrong or you actually did not understand the question, in which case the issue for you is far far greater than lack on knowledge on bearded dragons and their feeders.

If it's not clear, then say so. Clayton showed a female dragon from an ambiguous position and your post was literally 1 word: "Male." You didn't say it was unclear; you didn't ask for better pictures, just, "Male." Your justification, that you have 2 "male" bearded dragons and they "have the same look" with two random bumps, which are actually just the inner most femoral pores likely raised a bit due to the wax inside. By this logic, if you had 2 sons with short hair, then every person with short hair must be a male. The bottom line is, you did not know how to sex bearded dragons but you jumped in anyway. If other posters hadn't stepped in, Clayton might have went on thinking he had a male dragon and ordered him another female for mating purposes! This doesn't help ANYBODY, and neither does your current post calling BSFL cleaner bugs which you don't know if they can be fed to bearded dragons. If you don't know, then don't help. Silence is MUCH MUCH better an answer than incorrect information.
I try to help out w/ people that need help- alot of my suggestion/ recommendations come from people who have a lot of knowledge- I am not here to nit pick criticize be mean to people who need help- if I can't help them I reach out to.people who can
That's exactly what you did not do. You answered questions to the best of your knowledge even though it was insufficient. 90% of your posts have been about lighting, which I assumed were probably correct although they may paint an incomplete picture. I had to find out from @Clayton0520that you had no idea what you were talking about on the output and the hood types. You've given false information to so many newbies; luckily, someone with chameleon experience called you out.

I'm not trying to be mean either. I'm saying you need to, for the benefit of new bearded dragon owners, stop giving out false information and answering questions you don't know.

Thank you! Before I read your post, I received an email back from dubiaroaches.com saying that’s exactly what they were. They look so different from the tiny BSFL that I ordered from flukersfarm. I feel silly that I didn’t know what they were...lol. Thank you for your help though!
