I keep mine in a 10/20 gallon breeder tank with a metal. Petco usually has $1 gallon sales. To get the crickets out I use 2 plastic cups, one to scoop with and the other one I shake the crickets into as I count them out and make sure there are no dead ones. I mostly feed crickets to my frogs, I have to count them out because I have a frog that is prone to prolapse if he eats too many crickets. The plastic cups make it easy to dust too.
Ive got a lot of mouths to feed so i try to save money where i can. I have my breeders in Totes, That being said I have a five gallon bucket i shake my egg crates in then dump them into used (washed) plastic coffee cans. I then dust them with calcium. I am using Dubia Roaches but it would work for Crickets to. $6 for the Tote, $4 for the bucket, coffee can free once you used the coffee, egg crates depend on where you get them. If you get them from pet store with your crickets free. You will have to cut a whole and hot clue screen for fresh air on the tote though.
