This is one of our new kids, Hermione. Since my last post, I've figured out that my older girl is most likely a leatherback. Can anyone help me to identify what color and/or species Hermione is? She is very different from Zilla. She's a much lighter color and has an almost peach like hue (though it's hard to see in this picture). She also has clear nails. Sorry for posting so many questions, I am just very anxious to learn everything I can about these beautiful creatures! TIA for any help :)

She looks just like my girl Dexter! With all clear nails she is a hypo. Meaning she has a reduction of dark coloring in her skin. You will notice that her shoulder pads that look black are more of a lavender or light gray. If she's anything like my girl she, as she gets older, more of the orange coloring will come out! As far as what morph she is, there is no way to know that unless you know who her parents are. She looks like just a normal beautiful hypo dragon!

Thank you very much for your response! My mom got her and Zilla from a breeder, so I guess I should tell her to ask the breeder. Although, with all the research I've been doing, it seems that most of what he told her about how to care for them is wrong. I'm not sure what that's all about, I'm just glad that I took the time to learn about them myself, lol.

That seems to be what happens. We learn more from forums and reading books on our own than we do from the actual "experts".
