[GRAPHIC: BEARDED DRAGON STOOL]
My Bearded dragon, Chubs has a fairly strange urate and possible tail rot I’m most likely going to take her to the vet but I want to clarify, she was a rescue bearded dragon so her care wasn’t the greatest back then, but here’s what she’s on now, 40g soon to be upgraded to a 4x2x2 next week, 100w heat lamp, 24 in UVB Arcadia 12% Plant grow light “not important” Fed a varied diet of collard greens, kale, mustard greens although I had to feed mostly collard greens recently because I haven’t had time to run down to the grocery store, she’s also fed Dubia Roaches as a staple, hornworms bsfl and the occasional waxworm, mealworm and superworm. She’s on a bio active substrate but it is an arid substrate and not something like an ABG. Back then she was housed with another bearded dragon which I have also taken, she acts fairly normal but I’m not sure. All I know is that this is definitely not a healthy stool.

Poop looks ok- make sure when you get her in the bigger tank you are using digital probe thermometers- the 100 watt basking bulb may not be enough and please make sure your uvb is 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor in the new tank as well-- do you have a pic of the tail?

I do have a picture of the tail and I’m currently using a dual probe thermostat and the UVB is a safe distance away. Here is the picture

Ok so from this pic I see shed- does the end of tail have any injury? Is it black? What is the distance for uvb? Is it in the bigger tank now?

As I mention previously he will be in the bigger tank a week from now the UVB is about 9 inches away I believe, the tail is stiff at the end. And I don’t notice any notable injury

Please post a pic of the end - the tails are usually stiffer on the end - the uvb if it's a T 5 distance should be 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor and inside the tank
