Hey all! New here and need advice

Soooo, I have a beardie, he/she is roughly 4 months old, we purchased him/her at a week old (I’m aware that this is young but the breeder didn’t care) when he/she first came to us he/she was only eating around 4/5 crickets a day and then it stopped.
He or she is only 17 grams, so very small, I understand this is small for their age but I’m almost certain it’s down to the wax worms.

During the time he/she stopped as you can imagine it caused nothing but worry!
We tried waxworms! (Worst mistake ever)
We offered 1/2 to see if he/she had any sort of interest, and to my suprise he/she wolfed them down.
Now since then, I haven’t been successful with anything else, I mean we’ve tried it all, - meal worms, silkworms, dubias, locusts, crickets (black and brown) EVERYTHING! We are having no luck at all!

I attended the vets with him or him to ensure there was nothing medically wrong and it was confirmed that he/she just needed to put on weight, they gave us emeraid to support us with this and he/she have been putting on weight slowly.

A fecal examination was carried out and it came back all ok!

I’m really struggling now I just feel like there’s nothing more I can do.

I’ve left him starve for a day or so but again won’t eat anything unless it’s a wax worm when we try.
I’ve tried the whole hand feeding, I’ve tried mixing the foods to trick him/her but nothings working!
Any advice?
Cheers

Ok lets start w/ surface basking temps and how are you getting them? NO stick ons they are for ambient temps only - you want a digital probe thermometer 105-110 this will change at 6 months of age- next UVB this is critical NO coils please - they are a health hazard -- how is the dragon getting water? Please NO more enemas at the vet they are dangerous and can kill / paralyze the dragon - and NO more wax worms -- they are like candy to them and long term use will cause / can liver damage - please get the temps and UVB in order if you need help w/ the UVB let me know I will post 3 good long tube fixtures for you w/ links

Hi there thanks for your response, I’m reading the temps through an infrared gun, I don’t use stick ons as you said they’re only for ambient temps. I have a digital probe and that’s in the cool end. Dragon gets water every other day, few droplets On his nose with a syringe and he also has a bowl of shallow water available each day. As for UVB I have the strip accardia t5 bulb. My temps are in order, he also has a faunalux led on the way.

As for temps I monitor these with the thermo pro digital thermometers each end. My temps seem to be spot on.

I also forgot to mention he has a basking bulb, frosted face not intense because he didn’t like it.
The wattage of this is 75w, his faunalux is 30w and his strip uvb accardia t5 is 15% 22w.

I have done so much research and this isn’t my first time owning a dragon.

He will not eat anything other than a small amount of salad and wax worms like I mentioned previously

Also to mention his basking surface sits at 42 :)
He’s happy other than a nervous beardie.
Have been since the day we purchased him.

You want a solid clear bright white bulb- is your uvb in the tank?
Hey! We have a solid white bulb, no night time heat emitters or red lights over here

Yes t5 bulb is in the tank, diagonal across his basking spot along with his basking light and faunalux when arrives :)

What is a faunalux? Please have a piece of basking decor directly under the uvb 12-15 inches- I have not heard of Arcadia 15% are you sure it's a 15 and not 12%?
