Water crystal questions

Dubia roach Colony in one bin and feeders in another bin. So how does everybody manage the large water crystals. They dry out after a day or two, they get dirty looking (yellow), My question is how often to change out or can I just re-hydrate the crystals a couple times.

I suppose I can just put old crystals in my flower pots that grow Day Lillies

I'm pretty OCD so I actually change out my crystals every day to every other if I'm busy.. When it's the summer I throw my old crystals out in the garden..

I don't keep dubia but I just started using water crystals for my crickets. How often do they start to dry out?

if you keep your crickets nice and toasty you'll find they dry out like 2 days. What I do with my roaches is I fill the lid with crystals and then I add a bit of water to make them last longer.

Ocd too I clean the bin often. I put the left over salad in the cricket bin so that's messy but cheaper than gut load products and healthier for them and whoever is gonna eat them.
