Hi, so I have had my handsome Young almost a year and he is about a year old now. A few weeks ago he entered brumation and I turned off his lights and quit feeding him when he started refusing food. Well today, he woke up for more than a minute and came out of his hide so I turned his lights back on. He is now basking and acting normal like before he started brumating. Should I offer him food or should I just offer water and turn his lights back on. We have never brumated before so I just want to make sure he is safe.

Watch his behavior- sounds like semi brumation - offer him some food - and run his lights as normal-
What is semi brumation? I haven't heard that term before. Should I offer bugs or just greens?
Yes offer both -- semi brumation is when they do what your dragon is doing - I have one that has never fully gone into full brumation where they sleep for months - Hiccup sleeps for 2 weeks and then comes out and goes back to regular routine except he does not eat much during this time -- so I watch his weight and keep him hydrated and offer food every day -- Blaze is in full brumation now so to speak - he moves around tho in his tank every couple of days and I then give him water about every 2 weeks and keep a weight on him- offer food he hasnt eaten any salad but eats a couple of roaches and super worms - here is some info on brumation for you
