Vinnies new attitude

I dont know whats gotten into him latley but for about the last week when i go to take him out of his viv he seems to think hes bigger than he is. I think its kind of funny. He wont actually bite (well hasnt yet anyway) but he sure thinks hes tough all the sudden. Hes some pics while i try to reach for him and some pics after i pick him up.View attachment 8624

Not sure if hes scared or just being a "teenager with an attitude" but i just put my finger under his chin close his mouth and pick him up as i normally do. Its kind of cute the little turd

Its everytime i put my hand in. I just did it again and the same thing. I could hear him hissing. But i just rubbed his head a little and his eyes closed. Just doesnt make much sense why it would just start out of know where. Maybe hes getting ready to shed again. I seen a little bit of his face was shedding and his tail looks to be shedding so maybe he will relax again when hes done.

Yep..... My big guy does that too....... But he will lunge at you and try and take a finger...... Good times lol

He could be getting ready for a shed. When Luci does it to me he's usually shedding. My favorite is when I rub his chin and he opens his mouth like he's going to bite me!

Everytime you put your hand in do you pick him up?

Not every single time but most of the time. Ive had him since dec. I give him shoulder rides, take him outside, baths, everything. But this just started. Im not to worried about it i figure its just a phase and he will get over it. I think its kind of cute in his own way. I do pet him everytime i put my hand in there tho. The only time he doesnt do it is when i feed him of course because hes occupied scarfing down buggies.lol

Mine has been doing the exact same thing......... Everytime he gets hesitant or puffs out and opens mouth or hisses I get a super Worm and make him come out for it..... Right on my hand than I hold him for half hour or so than put him back..... Sometimes he goes right back to being angry others I pet him for bit in his viv....... When he's out he's completely fine...... My theory is viv his HIS territory/domain and out of it is unfamiliar grounds........

Lol yup sounds just like vinnie. I have him out right now and hes turning all white about to shed so in just going to say thats why. Sounds like a good excuse for now. Either way he dont scare me so i just keep our regular routines.
