hey everyone Im about to get a beardie soon and my tank is 4 foot by 20" AND THE HIGHT IS 26", IS IT TOO HIGH FOR A PROPER UVB/UVA LAMP???
and what is the lamp I should buy?? IM GOING TO GET HIM IN 1 WEEK FROM NOW! and one more thing, as I mentioned the length of the tank is 4 foot I CAN'T FIND ANY LAMP THAT LONG, HELP!!

You want your UVB to cover about 2/3's of your tank. I think a 36" light would be fine. Places like Dr. Foster and Smith or Pet Mountain would probably have them. If the hight of the tank is 26" you'll want to mount your light inside somehow so that you can get it to a good hight for UVB absorption. If you go to Zoomed's web site and look up UVB bulbs it should tell you how far your light needs to be.

It will be ok. Just figure out a way to get his basking spots closer to the lights. I have a high tank as well. I put a block under his basking rock to get him up higher. I'm working on some ramps to get him higher on both sides.
