Hi all my BG Bob who I have had for three weeks is not too keen on his veggies , what veg he eats he will only eat if I hand feed him, I have supplied him with fresh veg every day.
His diet consists of about 50% veg ( hand fed ) and 50% live food is this ok

I don't know how you're measuring your ratios, but at that age (i'm assuming if you have had him for 3 weeks he is small) its really more about offering as much live prey as he can eat for about 15 minutes 3 times a day, and just offering veggies via his food dish. The younger they are, the more they rely on live food for protein.

If he's older than a few months, let us know how old, and we can give you more accurate advice. :D

That's good to know! Plus, let me start by saying good for you for getting an adult dragon. A lot of people want younger ones, but the adults need love too! I have learned they are amazing and unique animals, regardless of when you get them.

If Bob is eating half and half that sounds fine for your dragon. Just make sure you're keeping all other husbandry items up... things like the right amount of calcium and D3 supplements, heat/temps, and the occasional bath.

Read my reply in the "Beardie won't eat his veggies" thread. I used acorn squash with a certain strategy and it works really well in getting my dragon her veggies. :)
