Evening all, this has probably been discussed numerous times on here anyway but I am about to replace my UVB In my 4x2x2 from a reptisun 10.0 T8 to a T5 init probably the Arcadia init, my question is with regards to which size, my options are 39w 3/4 length of the tank or 54w full with, any advice appreciated.

I would get a 24" fixture you dont want one that is the same length of the tank they need to be able to get out of the UVB rays w/ out having to hide from them

Most of not all the information I’ve read on this say minimum 3/4 length of the viv, some you tube vids say full length but makes more sense to have a section with none at all so they don’t need to hide to escape the uv, Im just not sure a 24 inch tube would be sufficient due to the wattage and it being 2ft tall tank even with a reflector.

Fair enough thank you for the info, I’m looking at the Arcadia pro t5 specifically at the minute, do you have it positioned in the centre as it’s short so there’s a spot at hot and cool end with no exposure.

Mine is towards the front of the tank in the middle - so its on the warm side of tank - basking light is in the back of the tank on the right side -- so he goes to the light he needs -- usually in the morning under the UVB for a few hrs then goes to the basking light
