I've seen people house uromastyx with bearded dragons, and have no intention to do it myself, but I find it pretty interesting. Can't different species have different deseases which can carry over to one another. I also thought uromastyx needed a higher basking temp.

yes - different species CAN have different diseases. Dont know what basking temp is for uros. reptilesmagazine.com says : Generally, the goal is to have a very brightly lit cage with a gradual temperature gradient from approximately 80 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit and basking zones of 120 degrees or more"
