So i have two uromastyx, each have had a fecal exam, and are free of parasites. One is a egyptian uro, and the other is a golden uro. the golden is a tad smaller than the egyptian. I really want to put them together, because i heard that they can live peacefully. Does anybody know if that would be a good idea or not?? Thanks!

I could have sworn i posted in here yesterday. Oh well, anyways, I personally wouldn't house the 2 together. Egyptians get huge and the other one if I remember correctly gets about 1/3 of the size of the Egyptian uro. If you have 2 males, they will fight. If you have a pair you may risk them interbreeding. The eventual size difference is what would keep me from doing it alone.

I suppose that is a good point. I never thought of that. One of the problems I am having, is that I have no idea how to sex either of them, so until now, I just say they are males. If anybody knows how to properly tell the sex, please let me know.

Some species are sexually dimorphic and can be determined by lack of color in females. Larger femoral pores in males and broader heads in males usually. You can always look at the hemipenal bulges too but with the spiny tails it's not always easy. Supposedly probing isn't always 100% accurate.
