So i went to petsmart and i asked for small crickets..my own stupidity i did not check the size of crickets i was given but there were 4 or 5 larger one in the bag and the rest small. Well i let me daughter..with my own stupidity feed zuri. Now we got zuri end of september and her about 9in long maybe a little more. Well i let her feed him and i forgot to tell her not to feed him the bigger ones. Well she fed the bigger ones. 4 of them. Now they were a decent size from what id say would be slightly to big to feed him. When i went to go check on him after feeding him he had a urate, liquid and a very very tiny peice of poop. From what it looks hes definetly id say impacted. Once i seen that i immediately put him in warm bath and messaged his stomach. I have some baby prunes to give him. Its prolly to soon to say hes impacted since it happened today but does anyone have any more idea what i could do to make sure he passes everything ok? His legs dont look stiff and hes walking around fine.

If he pooped, he's not impacted. How old is your dragon and what kind of lights are you using for heat and UVB?

As of right now i am using a exo terra solar glo uvb and heat combo until i get my new zoo med florescent fixture. My fixture somhow got a short in the plug so had to order a new one. Usuallly i use the reptisun 10.0 uvb tube. Along with the exo terra basking spot basking bulb and daytime hest bulb. Basking gets to 100 degrees, cool spot is at 85-90 degrees. Idl the way hes been laying down basking is a little odd. But im not expert. He lays down on his stomach with his back legs sprawled out. I got him from petsmart when he was a baby end of september. So maybe about 4 months old.

His basking spot needs to be warmer 107-110 degrees. 100 is good for an adult dragon but babies and juvies still need it hot.

Ok thats not a problem i can make it warmer. For eating i worried about feeding him im pretty paranoid now. Is there anything i can feed him thats light for now and slowly lean him back on his regular diet which was crickets, collards, kale.

You could get some BSFL they are soft and small but packed with calcium.

So he just pooped heres what it looked like. Correct me if im wrong but looks like he may be a little dehydrated and i think his poop is a little mushie bc of the prunes i had given him yesturday. Gonna give him a good misting and i set out aome collared greens in very small peices for him. I think im just over reacting and paranoid.

that’s the only soft worm you can buy at the store. You could try wax worms but you don’t want to feed them too many because they are fatty. BSFL goes by the names calci worms, Phoenix worms or reptiworms.

There should be more white urate. Try to get him to eat his greens. Don’t mist him, it can cause a respiratory infection if he inhales the water or it can cause bacterial skin infection if the water is left on his skin. Try dripping water on the top of his nose and see if he will lick it off.

I order my BSFL online. Cuts out the middle man, and they're delivered right to my door. There are quite a few suppliers, and even with shipping, they're way cheaper than at the store.

I love finding people from Chicago! I am in the city, near Wrigly Field. I order a lot of my stuff online. Dubai Roaches from dubiaroaches.com, silkworms from coastalsilkworms.com, super worms and crickets from joshsfrogs.com. There are some other great places too, rainbowmealworms, and lindasfonebuggie. There is a store in the city on Broadway just north of Irving called Curious Creatures. It’s the only reptile only store in the city. They are very nice and helpful and they also sell various feeders there.

Decor and supplies I get online too. Amazon mostly. Anything light related is from Lightyourreptiles, reptile basics or pangeareptile. Every March and October is the expo in Tinkey Park, lots of stuff to get there and there is no tax or delivery fees.
