Hey everyone sorry i haven't been on here in a while things have been hectic! Any way I took my beardie to the vets last week and it turns out my girl is actually my very fat boy! Having been weighed he is 440g and is in very good condition apart from the blood in his poop which the vet gave me antibiotics for. (Possible infection) if this doesn't work its back to the vets but so far so good :) on a different topic he has had a very deep black beard for days now but the rest of him is his normal colour any advice? Mating season perhaps?

black beards can be for so very many reasons. it may be the infection. it may be the antibiotic. it may be mating season. it may be just part of a moon cycle. glad to hear he's doing well - lookin good !

Is his mouth always open as pictured. If so he is getting too warm. May be another reason if that is the case. Just a thought.

LOVE that orange/red eye! I agree with Canicke, the black beard could be for so many reasons, possibly upset from the antibiotic or he sees his reflection in the glass. Or maybe he's showing you how mad he is that you thought he was a girl all this time :p
