Giving baths every few days. Giving him catelope every day to lube him up. What to do? Is this normal once and a while? Also his appetite is down. Other than that he acts normal.

His appetite is probably down because he has to poop. Mine do that when they haven't gone for awhile. Try a bit a bit of apple with a drop of olive oil. Keep up with the baths, he should eventually go.

Speaking of poop. Phoenix came out of his rock cave a little bit ago and was at the glass so I opened it. He jumped out onto my bed. Pooped a gnarly runny and smelly poop. Then jumped back in and now he's basking

Bad news is the poop was runny and smelly. Good news is he pooped and is roaming around his cage which he hasn't done this week so I think the fumes were getting to him in the cage I just built.

How hot is too hot for there belly? The basking spot is 98 right now. But the rock itself under the light is 117. Would that burn him? I can do a 40w bulb but it will probably bring the temp down a bit
